Day 19: Ashizuri to Ekawasaki

Today we cycled 64.5 miles from Ashizuri to Ekawasaki, with a refreshing beach dip thrown in.  About a quarter of the way along the route we transitioned from the coast to inland mountains and cycled along the Shimanto River.     

Lew and Adrian are seen having a great time.  Lew is from Australia and likes to ride hard and enjoy a cold beverage after the ride.  He is sort of like Henry on C2C 😁

About a quarter of the way we left the coast and cycled the inland mountains before lunch....

...and then cycled along the Shimanto River during the afternoon.

Judy is seen on a bridge that crosses the Shimanto River.

So were Megan and Bet.  One of these ladies is riding in the wrong lane 😁

This bridge had no traffic and was a popular place with the riders.

My Specialized Roubaix Pro near the banks of the Shimanto River is working great. No flats or breakdowns so far in 2019.   

Bike parking in the lobby of Hotel Seira Shimanto for the evening.  Most hotels allow us to keep our bikes in the lobby.  It's worth noting that we have not locked our bikes during the Samurai Epic.
