Day 15: Sameura to Kumakogen

This was an epic ride!!  68 miles, fall colors with long and steep climbs for miles.  It wasn't easy, but I was able to cross Mt. Ishizuchi, which is Western Japan’s highest peak at 6,503 feet!!

Adrian cycling his way up to Mt. Ishizuchi.

Mt. Ishizuchi up in the clouds.

Ride with GPS elevation profile.

 Descent off Mt. Ishizuchi.

Beautiful fall colors in the mountains.....

....and beautiful gorges.

At mile 61, meet four of the new riders for the second stage (Megan, Bet, Judy & Betty).

In summary, today was beautiful, challenging and rewarding.  I have never attempted a ride as difficult as this.  A remarkable & memorable experience that I probably will never forget.
