Day 17: Yusuhara to Shimanto

The evening started with a beautiful sunset followed with a leisurely coffee in the morning.  Following this we had a relatively easy 55 mile ride.  However, when you watch the Relive video you will notice I took three wrong turns for some additional mileage.

We ended the ride at Sakura Ville for coffee and pastries.  Tomorrow we transition from the mountains to the coast.

Sunset at Tarogawa hotel in Yusuhara.

The morning started with a coffee at Tarogawa hotel overlooking a valley.

Relive video with terrain and pics along the route.

Lew decides to showcase his color coordination skills wearing his matching  orange & black kit with his bike.

At the first SAG stop, Adrian says what's up with these tiny little chairs in Japan.

Judy is seen screaming down the mountain.

Two things common in Japan are bridges and tunnels.  Here is one of the many bridges....

....and tunnels.

In the afternoon I stopped by a place making Sake.  Ben shared with me they also make Chestnut wine.  What could possibly go wrong riding a bike 🤣

Near the end of the day, we climbed up a mountain.  On the horizon you can see fog rolling through the pine forest.

At the end of the ride, a number of the cyclists stopped by Sakura Ville bakery for a coffee.

Tomorrow the weather will be sunny and we will be cycling along the coast.  Should be fun!
