Day 4: Togi to Wajima

Heavy rain was predicted for the evening and this morning.  Ben our leader from Ride & Seek suggested we delay the start and meet for breakfast at 8:30am and begin cycling at 10am.  Cycling the Noto Peninsula was a beautiful ride and a challenging climbing day with a max grade of 19.1%.

Stunning vista after a long climb.

View looking out at the mountains and Sea of Japan after a long descent.

Proof that I actually cycled today 😁  Cycled a part of the day with Lew from Australia.

View of low traffic roads in the mountains and the Noto Peninsula in general.

Breakfast this morning was delicious and the presentation artistic.

Samurai bike parking on racks in front of our hotel.  Bikes are seldom locked in Japan.

The route today.  Tomorrow we will cycle around the tip of the Noto Peninsula.  A key highlight will be battleship rock.  I am hoping to have more cool pictures to post...

Enjoying your photos and adventures! I noticed that your ride partner for part of the day was in long sleeves and long pants (or warmers) and you dressed like a true Wisonsinite!

Other than a few light showers and wind the temps were in the 70s. I found the overcast weather to be ideal for climbing. Three quarters of the riders are from Perth, Sydney or Melbourne Australia and may be accustomed to a warmer climate.

Have a great ride Adrian - looks like I won't be able to see you on this trip but I look forward to following the blog.
